It is extremely tempting to grab that item that you thought you always wanted when you see it marked down. It may or may not be just the thing you need. Was it an impulse? Does it now sit in your closet unworn because you do not have any idea how to wear it? Does it fit into your life?

The key to successful sale shopping is knowing what you need before you walk in the door or click on that website. Having a clear vision of your wardrobe goals prevents impulse purchases that end up unworn.

Before buying something on sale, ask yourself: Would I buy this at full price? If the answer is no, then it's probably not right for you, regardless of the discount. A bargain is only a bargain if you actually wear it.
